  • Manage and oversee all sections and pages of the university’s official website
  • Conduct regular content updates

  • Design and update UI/UX to ensure easy navigation and information accessibility
  • Enhance website performance (loading speed, multi-device compatibility, usability)

  • Develop new e-services (e-registration systems, academic journals, inquiry systems)

  • Perform security updates and vulnerability protection with cybersecurity specialists
  • Conduct regular website backups for data recovery

  • Train college/department representatives on content management

1. Document and Archive Management

  • Organize, classify, and maintain physical documents for easy retrieval

  • Establish an electronic archiving system

2. Personnel Affairs Management

  • Maintain employee files and oversee administrative matters (bonuses, promotions, leaves)

  • Plan staffing needs and recruit qualified personnel

3. Mail Coordination

  • Receive, distribute, and process incoming/outgoing mail

  • Redistribute mail after approval by the Center Director to relevant divisions

  • Deliver official outgoing correspondence and responses to the University’s Central Mail Office

4. Comprehensive Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative assistance to all center divisions

  • Organize management board and committee meetings

  • Continuous training and qualification for university affiliates including professors, staff, and students, and conducting training courses for private and public institutions and the community.
  • Cooperation with various departments to ensure training alignment with institutional objectives.
  • Organizing practical and theoretical workshops and training courses.
  • Administration of the National Proficiency Exam (Computer, English) for graduate students.

Device Repair.. Network Management.. Direct Technical Support
  1. Computer and Peripheral Device Maintenance:
  • General Maintenance: Perform repairs on malfunctioning computers.
  • Hardware Upgrades: Install necessary software to enable communication between computers and connected peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners).
  • Application Management: Install essential software, including input programs and antivirus protection.
  1. Network Maintenance and Applications:
  • Internal Network Management: Set up, operate, and monitor the Local Area Network (LAN) and WiFi network.
  • Network Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on the university’s internal network and ensure its smooth operation.
  • Access Point Management: Configure, operate, and maintain internal network devices (e.g., access points, switches) and balance WiFi traffic loads to ensure internet and intranet services reach all university buildings.

  • Provide recommendations and effective solutions for computer and peripheral setup.
  • Offer consultations for designing, structuring, and optimizing the university’s distributed networks.

  • The Systems and Software Division at the University of Nineveh is a fundamental pillar in achieving the university’s digital transformation and keeping pace with technological advancements in Iraq. Through its ongoing work in developing and implementing university management systems and their associated subsystems, the division aims to enhance administrative performance and streamline academic and administrative processes via automation. This contributes to creating a more efficient and seamless work environment.
  • The division is committed to maintaining existing systems and monitoring their servers to ensure continuous and effective operation. It also strives to improve and develop these systems to meet emerging requirements set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Additionally, the division ensures accurate compatibility between different systems and provides ongoing user support by organizing training workshops to ensure users fully understand how to operate the systems.
