The Electronic Computing Center at the University of Nineveh continues to offer computer proficiency courses in person, as part of its ongoing activities specifically directed at employees of state departments and university affiliates. These courses are considered a fundamental requirement for salary increments and job promotion.
The course runs for one week, at a rate of two hours per day, and includes both theoretical and practical lectures delivered by a specialized training team. The curriculum covers five main areas: the Windows operating system, the basic Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Internet usage, aimed at developing the computer skills necessary for effective workplace performance.
Registration fees are 15,000 Iraqi dinars for university affiliates, and for those outside the university, 30,000 Iraqi dinars for one-week courses and 60,000 Iraqi dinars for two-week courses. The course is held four times a year once the minimum number of participants, 10, is reached. Participants must pass the final exam and attend at least half of the course days.
Registration is done by sending an official letter to the University of Nineveh – Electronic Computing Center, including the names of the employees eligible for the allowance and promotion, along with the name, specialization, workplace, and phone number.
