Electronic Department


The Department of Electronic Engineering at the College of Electronics Engineering, University of Nineveh, was established in July 2002 with a clear vision to provide specialized education in the field of electronics and to keep pace with modern technological advancements to meet the needs of advanced industries. The department focuses particularly on the fields of medical devices and industrial electronics, ensuring the preparation of engineering cadres capable of meeting the demands of local and global markets.

The duration of study in the department is four academic years after high school. The program offers flexible options through morning and evening study systems, enhancing students’ ability to achieve their academic and professional goals.

As part of its academic expansion, the department received approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to establish a postgraduate (Master’s) program starting from the academic year 2017-2018. Furthermore, approval was granted to open a higher diploma program in 2021, and the medical devices and industrial electronics branches were introduced in 2023. These initiatives reflect the department’s commitment to providing advanced education and scientific research to meet societal needs and technological developments.
