The College of Electronics Engineering at the University of Nineveh received Prof. Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, Rector of the University of Nineveh. The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Khaled Khalil Muhammad, along with a number of faculty members.
This visit was part of a field tour conducted by Dr. Al-Khayyat to the various colleges of the University of Nineveh to assess their academic and infrastructural conditions and to monitor the progress of the educational process.
During the visit, the delegation toured the college’s departments and inspected the laboratories and lecture halls for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. They also listened to students’ feedback and needs, commending the efforts made to develop curricula and enhance the university environment in line with modern advancements in education.
Dr. Al-Khayyat held a meeting with the College Council, where the primary challenges facing the educational process were discussed, along with strategies for developing academic programs and infrastructure. This is aimed at strengthening the college’s standing within the university system. His Eminence also listened to the Council members’ suggestions and put forward a number of recommendations designed to support the college’s academic and administrative development.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Khayyat praised the college’s role in supporting the educational and research mission, reaffirming the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee’s commitment to supporting all initiatives that contribute to the advancement of higher education in Iraq.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean of the College expressed his gratitude for the visit, appreciating the Committee’s and the University’s ongoing interest in enhancing college performance and improving the quality of higher education.
