Department of Biomedical Engineering

In light of global and local advancements in biomedical engineering, and the increasing intersection of engineering and medical disciplines in modern applications, it has become essential to keep pace with this progress by establishing a Biomedical Engineering Department. This department aims to support medical and educational institutions with this specialized and rare field. In 2023, the College of Electronics Engineering took the initiative to establish the Department of Biomedical Engineering, offering a Bachelor’s degree program. The program has been carefully designed with the expertise of distinguished faculty members to meet labor market demands and provide students with advanced scientific knowledge. The curriculum equips students with the skills necessary to tackle modern challenges. The academic program follows a structured, research-oriented approach, incorporating scientific research, in-depth seminars, laboratory experiments, and intensive coursework. Additionally, the program offers summer training opportunities in hospitals. The duration of study is four to five academic years after preparatory studies. The department awards a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering through both morning and evening study programs.
