The Department of Systems and Control Engineering was established in July 2013 by Ministerial Order / Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up – Department of Studies and Planning, under reference number T M3/4085 on 20/8/2013. The department grants a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Systems and Control Engineering.
Given the importance of Systems and Control Engineering in industrial fields, the college decided to establish a program that serves and develops industrial facilities in the country through a specialized field (Systems and Control). The department’s curriculum was designed after reviewing similar programs in advanced industrial countries.
The study plan in this department follows a semester-based system, consisting of two semesters per academic year, with a total study duration of four years.
The department aims to prepare engineers capable of working in the oil, industrial, power plant, and dam sectors, as well as in numerous other facilities and companies in the public, private, and mixed sectors. Graduates acquire expertise in managing and operating control systems, automation, and robotic systems in production plants and modern manufacturing lines.
