As part of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between the Universities of Nineveh and Mosul,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Head of the Computer Networks and Internet Department at the College of Information Technology, University of Nineveh, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Sabah Abdul Aziz, participated as a member of the doctoral dissertation defense committee for student Qasim Abdullah Ahmed at the College of Engineering, University of Mosul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defense took place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in the discussion hall of the Computer Engineering Department. The student’s dissertation was titled:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A Multi-Model Biometric System Using Artificial Intelligence.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dissertation addressed the development of human recognition technologies based on facial features and gait, and the integration of these biometric characteristics using artificial intelligence to enhance the system’s accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Diaa Mohammed Ali, and its members included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Idris Dawood<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Dr. Basil Shukr Mahmoud (Member and First Supervisor)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This participation underscores the active role of the College of Information Technology at the University of Nineveh in supporting scientific research and strengthening academic cooperation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
