Under the guidance of the esteemed President of Nineveh University, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, and within the framework of scientific collaboration agreements with universities in Nineveh Governorate,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof.Dr . Manar Younis Kashmoula,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asst . Prof. Dr. Ali Othman Mohammed, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Information Technology, participated in the committee for the defense of a technical master’s thesis at the Northern Technical University, Engineering Technical College, Department of Computer Technology Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The title of the thesis was \u201cRouting Algorithms Impact on The Performance and Lifetime of Wireless Sensor Networks,\u201d presented by researcher Mohammed Khalif Ahmed Zakour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The thesis aimed to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Design and analyze wireless sensor networks, studying the impact of the number of clusters and the selection of cluster heads on their performance and longevity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Simulate standard routing algorithms and examine their effect on network efficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Build a practical model for a wireless sensor network and implement it to verify the impact of routing algorithms on network performance and lifespan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The study reached several significant conclusions, the most notable being:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
The FZ-LEACH routing algorithm provided a longer network lifespan compared to traditional protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
The energy efficiency of the FZ-LEACH algorithm surpassed that of the LEACH protocol.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
