In accordance with the directives of Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of Nineveh University, and the support of Professor Dr. Zeina Ghanem Al-Abidi, Dean of the College of Law, and due to the esteemed academic status of the College of Law faculty members, Mr. Dr. Saad Abdul Wahab Issa Al-Sheikh, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, participated in the 8th International Conference on Sharia and Law (The Role of Sharia in Maintaining Family Stability), held at Sultan Abdul Halim Shah Islamic University in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conference took place from April 24-25, 2024, with the presence of the Chief Judge of the Sharia Courts in Kedah, the Dean of the College of Law at Sultan Abdul Halim Shah Islamic University, and the President of the Muslim Union in Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Saad Al-Sheikh distinguished himself with an electronic presentation of his research paper titled “The Rules of Conjoined Twins in Light of Islamic Sharia and Iraqi Personal Status Law,” among 21 research papers and 3 poster presentations. His paper highlighted issues related to the role of Sharia courts in family matters and offered recommendations that were well-received by the conference\u2019s scientific committee.
