Office of Scientific and Medical Consulting Services of the College of Medicine – University of Nineveh
The office is located inside the university campus near the Deanship of the College of Medicine building – University of Nineveh. It was established and started working by university order in 2006 in a temporary location outside the university. The office has continued to provide its services since then despite periods of suspension for various reasons. It moved to its main location inside the university campus in 2012 and continued working until the city fell into the hands of terrorist gangs.
The center provides various diagnostic and therapeutic medical services in most specialties as it contains laboratories equipped with modern equipment and an experienced staff in addition to medical clinics that include specialist doctors from various medical specialties, most of whom are university lecturers in addition to some specialist doctors from the Nineveh Health Department. The center also contains an advanced X-ray machine, an ultrasound and Doppler device, as well as a bone density measuring device (DEXA), which is an advanced device that provides an important diagnostic service to the people of the country. There is also a specialized dental clinic that contains advanced equipment and a dental X-ray machine.
The center provided its integrated services in its official location inside the university campus until the brutal occupation of the city by terrorist gangs, which led to the cessation of all services. After the liberation of the city from the clutches of terrorism and due to the damage to the site of the Mosul College of Medicine on the right coast due to sabotage and military operations, the center’s site has been occupied by the Deanship of the Mosul College of Medicine since the liberation until now. We hope that in the near future it will be rehabilitated and opened to resume providing medical and therapeutic services to serve our beloved city.
