The College of Nursing Council at the University of Nineveh has adopted statements of vision, mission, values, goals, and philosophy to guide the operation of the institution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vision<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vision of the College of Nursing is to educate and train students to be distinguished healthcare professionals and leaders by enabling them to use innovative healthcare education and care to improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mission<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The College of Nursing’s Mission is to prepare excellent health care providers and leaders to transform the lives of individuals, families, and communities through innovative education and health care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The College of Nursing serves students, the nursing profession, health care agencies, clients receiving care and increasing society’s needs for skilled nurses by providing programs for students seeking employment in nursing and other medical fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The College of Nursing puts its resources in sustaining high-quality nursing programs in an atmosphere that emphasizes clinical excellence across all practice areas and helps students acquire the academic and thinking skills necessary for effective careers and lifelong learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programs draw on the foundations of general education relevant to nursing education, and all programs fulfill common standards for nursing education programs at National and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The nursing programs are exploring a differentiated practice model that teaches students to optimize their own role of creation, to find the opportunity to learn, and to interact effectively with other nurses and health care team with different educational backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Programs are provided to adult students from culturally and ethnically diverse area communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Philosophy<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The philosophy of the College of Nursing flows from the mission of the Ninevah University and College of Nursing and supports the concepts of clinical competence, excellence in education, holistic care, professionalism, evidence-based practice, and lifelong learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The philosophy integrates the conceptual framework that was created by faculty to provide guidance for the selection and organization of learning experiences to accomplish program outcomes. The conceptual framework serves to unite these four constructs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nursing<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nursing is an art and science that recognizes, mobilizes, and enhances the client’s strengths through learned skills, professionalism, expertise, and integrity accompanied by evidence-based practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Person<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The person is a unique, physical, psychosocial, moral, cultural, and holistic being or society with value, respect, and worth possessing the capacity for development, change, and choice for which they are responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environment<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The environment is a dynamic subtotal of internal and external stimuli that influence the understanding and adaptation of the person to the community in which they live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wellness<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wellness is defined as the individual\u2019s perception of his\/her quality of life throughout the lifespan and his\/her ability to adapt to restrictions of environment, disease, or disability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
