The department was established with the founding of the college in 2020. Pharmaceutics is one of the fundamental branches of pharmacy, dealing with all aspects of the process of converting a biologically active chemical into a safe and effective drug.
The department focuses on studying the physical and chemical properties of drugs and active ingredients to design the appropriate drug for the patient’s condition. The department works to prepare students to be familiar with the fundamentals of pharmaceutical manufacturing and capable of handling the preparation of various pharmaceutical formulas and forms. This is achieved by providing the college with knowledge related to the preparation, study, and development of pharmaceutical preparations, with the goal of achieving the maximum therapeutic effect of the drug while minimizing side effects. This is achieved by preparing students capable of formulating and packaging drugs in various forms, including tablets, injections, suspensions, solutions, and more.
