On the sidelines of the visit by the delegation from the Electoral Commission to the University of Ninevah \u2013 Al-Jawsaq campus \u2013 and within the framework of promoting electoral awareness and reinforcing democratic principles, and in accordance with the directives of the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision and presence of the Vice Deans for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Omar Thanon, and Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hassan Al-Diwaji, the College of Pharmacy organized an awareness lecture for its students titled: “The Importance of Elections and Mechanisms of Participation” on Monday, May 19, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture was delivered by Ms. Ria Abdul Kareem, Head of the Legal Division at the college. It addressed the importance of updating the voter card as a fundamental step to ensure effective participation in the elections, highlighted the modern mechanisms adopted in the updating process, and emphasized the citizen\u2019s role in strengthening the democratic process and building institutional governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session witnessed remarkable attendance from the college\u2019s students, who actively engaged with the topics through discussions and questions, enriching the lecture and reflecting the academic community’s awareness of the importance of participating in political life in a civilized manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
