In accordance with the directives of Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Ninevah, and as part of the College of Pharmacy’s ongoing efforts to foster openness, collaboration, and the exchange of expertise with global academic institutions, an online meeting was held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, between the Council of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah and its counterpart at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting aimed to activate the previously signed scientific cooperation agreement between the two universities and to explore new avenues for joint academic engagement. Several key topics were discussed, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Research Collaboration:<\/strong>
    Both parties agreed to coordinate efforts in high-priority research areas, including the development of innovative strategies to combat drug abuse and the exploration of biodegradable materials. They also discussed exchanging lists of workshops, training programs, and conferences to enhance mutual participation, as well as exploring the possibility of faculty exchange. Additionally, the two institutions expressed interest in collaborating on scientific publications through the International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Clinical Sciences (IJPNaCS)<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Student Exchange:<\/strong>
    The College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah expressed its readiness to offer full and partial scholarships to support student exchange programs. Relevant links and resources will be shared with UiTM to facilitate access to these opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Postgraduate Programs:<\/strong>
    UiTM welcomed the idea of hosting postgraduate students from the University of Ninevah in its advanced laboratories and research centers for short-term research programs, modeled after the Indonesian approach. The universities also discussed encouraging joint supervision, exchanging lists of available supervisors, and collaborating in the appointment of external examiners for thesis evaluation. Furthermore, both sides agreed to share lists of ongoing research projects to identify potential areas for future collaboration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    This initiative represents a significant and strategic step toward strengthening international academic partnerships between the University of Ninevah and UiTM. It holds great promise for enriching the research and educational environments at both institutions, ultimately benefiting the academic and scientific communities in both countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
