Prof. Dr. Maysar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutaji<\/strong>, and the College\u2019s continuous efforts to foster a culture of rigorous scientific research and encourage publication in reputable international journals indexed in prestigious global databases,<br>a significant scientific achievement has been recorded by the <strong>Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the supervision of <strong>Asst. Lecturer Ayman Yaseen Sharaf Zibari<\/strong>, and through his guidance of fifth-year students:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pharmacy graduate Mohammed Ghanem<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pharmacy graduate Salman Nashwan<\/strong>,<br>a scientific research paper derived from their <strong>graduation project for the academic year 2024\u20132025<\/strong> has been successfully published in a <strong>renowned international journal indexed by Scopus and Elsevier<\/strong>, namely <strong><em>The Microbe<\/em><\/strong>, classified as <strong>Q2 in its specific field and Q3 overall<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The research, entitled:<br><strong>\u201cBio-design of <em>Ganoderma adspersum<\/em>-grafted silver nanoparticles and assessment of their anti-bacterial efficiency\u201d<\/strong>,<br>aimed to develop a <strong>sustainable, nano-based antibiotic<\/strong> characterized by <strong>ease of preparation and low cost<\/strong>, serving as a promising <strong>alternative to conventional commercial antibiotics<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>first time globally<\/strong>, <em>Ganoderma<\/em> mushroom extract was employed in the <strong>green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs)<\/strong>. These nanoparticles were characterized using <strong>advanced spectroscopic and imaging techniques<\/strong> (UV-Vis, FTIR, XRD, TEM, SEM), confirming their successful formation.
