In a new scientific achievement added to the record of research excellence and academic contributions of the College of Pharmacy \/ University of Nineveh, the faculty members:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    from the College of Pharmacy have published a high-quality scientific research paper in a reputable international scientific journal, the International Journal of Applied Pharmaceutics<\/strong>, which is indexed in Scopus<\/strong> and ranked within the second quartile (Q2) for a specific specialty and Q3 for a general specialty<\/strong>, with a CiteScore of 2.0<\/strong>, reflecting the quality and scientific significance of the research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The study is entitled:
    \u201cBaobab Extract with Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles for Targeted Treatment for Liver Cancer.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The research addresses, for the first time, the synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) using baobab fruit extract through a green and environmentally friendly approach, followed by an evaluation of their efficacy against liver cancer cells. Structural characterization revealed the formation of homogeneous hexagonal crystalline nanoparticles with an average particle size of 33 nm. Moreover, biological assessments demonstrated that these nanoparticles (ZnNPs@BF) possess high and selective anticancer activity against liver cancer cells, with an IC\u2085\u2080 value of 1.45 \u00b5g\/mL, while exhibiting no cytotoxic effects on normal cells. These findings highlight their potential as a promising and safe nanotechnological option for the future development of targeted nano-based cancer therapies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
