Under the patronage of the President of Nineveh University, Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Zeina Ghanem Al-Obaidi, the Deanery of the College of Law held its festival entitled “Empowering Women Digitally” on Thursday, March 7, 2024, which was graced by the presence of the Assistant of the Community Police Department and the accompanying delegation.
The festival began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah in tribute to the souls of the martyrs, followed by the national anthem. Then, Dr. Al-Obaidi delivered a speech on the occasion of International Women’s Day, extending congratulations and best wishes to Iraqi women, wishing them further success and prosperity. She highlighted the role of women in the healthy development of society, emphasizing their active role throughout history, citing the enduring contributions of women who have been pivotal figures in human history. She praised the Iraqi women who have made significant contributions throughout our contemporary history, including the recent decades characterized by various challenges and difficulties.
Following this, the Assistant of the Community Police Department delivered a speech on this occasion. On the sidelines of the festival, exhibitions showcasing the works and achievements of college students were opened. The festival concluded with the distribution of shields and certificates of appreciation to the attendees.
