On Sunday, 2 November 2025, Prof. Dr. Zeina Ghanem Al-Obaidi, Dean of the College of Law, chaired the meeting of the College Council, with the attendance of all council members.
The session began with a welcoming statement from the Dean, in which she expressed her appreciation for the members’ continuous efforts in supporting both the educational and research processes. The Council then proceeded to discuss several key items on its agenda, most notably:
- Reviewing and discussing the recommendations of the Committee of Law Deans regarding the determination of academic curricula and evaluative courses, in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and in a manner that ensures the unification of academic standards across peer institutions.
- Adding supplementary methodological textbooks to support certain academic courses.
Dr. Al-Obaidi also emphasized the importance of closely following up on evaluative courses and the preparations related to them. She urged the heads of departments and assistant deans to review all necessary procedures that would contribute to elevating academic standards, in line with the College of Law’s vision to enhance higher education with efficiency, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Al-Obaidi commended the valuable efforts of the faculty and administrative staff for their continued support of the educational mission, in service of the College and our beloved country. She wished everyone continued success.
