The University Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Law organized a scientific workshop entitled “Signs of Depression: Causes and Methods of Treatment,” as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance psychological awareness among students and staff, and to promote a culture of mental health that contributes to building a more balanced and stable university environment.

The workshop featured a lecture delivered by the Head of the Psychological Guidance Unit, Dr. Manal Mohammed Ahmed, with the participation of Assistant Lecturer Roaa Sami Al-Hajjar from the Private Law Department. The session introduced depression as one of the most common psychological disorders, outlining its key symptoms and underlying psychological and social causes. It also presented the most important scientific approaches and methods for managing and treating the condition.

The workshop further emphasized the importance of early awareness of mental health issues and encouraged students to seek support and consultation when needed, given its crucial role in preventing the escalation of psychological problems and promoting positive adaptation within the university community.

This workshop is part of a broader series of awareness activities organized by the Psychological Guidance and Educational Counseling Unit, aimed at providing psychological and advisory support to students, and contributing to the creation of a healthy educational environment that fosters academic success and psychological well-being.
