Under the patronage and direct support of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Zina Ghanem Al-Ubaidi, the Directorate of Explosives Control delivered an important awareness lecture on Monday, 20 April 2026, at the College of Law, titled “The Dangers of Explosives and How to التعامل with Them.” The event was attended by the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Khaldoun Fadel, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Adib Mohammed Jassim Al-Hamawi, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security awareness among students and the academic community, and within the framework of joint cooperation between the College of Law and security institutions in service of the public interest.
The lecture covered a number of key themes aimed at familiarizing attendees with the nature of explosive materials, their types, and the risks associated with improper handling—whether direct or indirect. It also emphasized the importance of immediately reporting suspicious objects and adhering to the instructions of relevant security authorities to prevent incidents.
The session was delivered by a team of specialists from the Directorate of Explosives Control, including:
