In line with the directives of the President of the University of Nineveh, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Zina Ghanem Al-Ubaidi, and within the framework of the joint cooperation agreement between the University of Nineveh and the University of Mosul, the College of Law organized a scientific field visit on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, to the Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science, University of Mosul. The visit included a group of third- and fourth-year students, accompanied by several faculty members.

The visit aimed to familiarize students with the nature of work in the field of forensic evidence, and to provide insight into the practical aspects of evidence collection and analysis. It also introduced students to career pathways available to graduates in judicial and security institutions. In addition, students were given the opportunity to learn about modern scientific methods used in forensic investigations and how such evidence is handled within legal frameworks.

The visit was supervised by a group of faculty members from the College of Law, including:

The program included a field tour of the department’s laboratories, where students were introduced to equipment and technologies used in the analysis of fingerprints, biological evidence, and chemical substances. Specialists from the department provided detailed explanations on evidence documentation procedures and methods of preservation to ensure legal integrity.

At the conclusion of the visit, faculty members emphasized the importance of such academic activities in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, enhancing students’ understanding of criminal procedures, and contributing to the preparation of qualified legal professionals capable of handling various criminal cases with competence and professionalism.
