Based on the directives of the President of Nineveh University, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Zeina Ghanim Al-Obaidi, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college organized an enriching lecture for first-year students titled “Stop the Arms”.
The lecture was delivered by Colonel Ahmed Mufaq Mohammed, the Director of the Arms Control and Organization Department at the Nineveh Police Directorate.
Colonel Ahmed provided a detailed presentation on the dangerous effects of the proliferation of arms on national security and community safety.
The lecture also addressed the damages that can result from unregulated arms, posing a threat to public security. It emphasized the urgent need to raise awareness and educate on this matter, as well as the importance of enforcing national laws to mitigate these risks and ensure the protection of citizens.
In conclusion, Al-Obaidi honored Colonel Ahmed Mufaq Mohammed and the accompanying delegation with a certificate of appreciation, commending their efforts in educating the college students on this issue, while wishing everyone continued success and progress.
