The Chairman of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, Prof. Dr. Mazahim Al-Khayyat, accompanied by the President of the University of Ninevah, Prof. Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, conducted an inspection visit to the College of Law on Tuesday, 4 November 2025. They were received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Zina Ghanem Al-Ubaydi, along with the members of the College Council.

The visit came in recognition of the College’s recent achievement of obtaining an “Excellent” rating in the national evaluative examinations, and included a review of the ongoing educational process, the regularity of lectures, and the performance of both students and faculty members. The delegation also inspected classrooms, laboratories, and the college’s infrastructure.

The discussions during the visit addressed ways to develop the legal curriculum to better meet labor-market needs, enhance practical training within legal education, and support the College’s efforts in achieving academic accreditation and improving the overall learning environment.

Prof. Dr. Mazahim Al-Khayyat praised the academic and organizational performance of the College of Law, reaffirming the Higher Education Committee’s support for the University of Ninevah and its colleges. In turn, the University President expressed his appreciation for the visit, emphasizing that it reflects the Committee’s commitment to monitoring educational institutions, and reaffirming the University’s dedication to advancing its academic programs and serving the community.
