Assistant Professor Dr. Saddam Yousif Abdul-Jaghifi, Head of the Evening Registration Division at the College of Law – University of Nineveh, participated on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as a member of the Master’s thesis defense committee at the College of Education for Humanities, Al-Hamdaniya University. The thesis was submitted by researcher Maher Adnan Mahmoud Jassim and was entitled “Russian Foreign Policy in the Caspian Sea (2000–2018).”
The thesis presented an in-depth analysis of Russian foreign policy toward the Caspian Sea during a pivotal period in international relations, focusing on the political, strategic, and historical dimensions associated with this issue. It highlighted a notable shift in Russia’s approach, characterized by increased assertiveness and a clear effort to restore its status as a major global power. This transformation was evident in its political, diplomatic, security, and economic engagement in the Caspian region.
