In line with the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh’s commitment to providing psychological and academic support to students during the examination period, and with the aim of enhancing their readiness and fostering a healthy learning environment, the Psychological Counseling Unit organized a scientific workshop entitled:
“Test Anxiety and Examination Committee Instructions,”
held on Wednesday, 24/12/2025.
The workshop aimed to shed light on the psychological aspects associated with test anxiety and to clarify the approved examination instructions and regulations, thereby contributing to the provision of a supportive and motivating examination environment that ensures the smooth and well-organized conduct of the examination process.
The workshop sessions were delivered by:
- Dr. Abeer Mansour
- Dr. Shaimaa Abdullah
- Asst. Lecturer Khairiya Abdulrahman Abdullah
Under the supervision of the Head of the Psychological Counseling Unit, Dr. Ghaidaa Saad Dawood.
The workshop addressed several key scientific topics, most notably:
- Defining the scientific concept of test anxiety and its psychological and behavioral dimensions.
- Identifying the factors leading to increased levels of anxiety among students during examinations.
- Presenting effective strategies for managing psychological stress and improving academic performance.
- Clarifying examination committee instructions and highlighting common mistakes that may affect the examination process.
- Enhancing positive coping skills and building self-confidence among students.
This workshop forms part of a series of guidance activities implemented by the Psychological Counseling Unit in the College, in support of the educational process and as a contribution to promoting students’ mental health.
