As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit, and within its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of rigorous scientific research and enhance researchers’ capacities, the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh organized an in-person scientific lecture entitled “Scientific Research Methods” on Sunday, 11 January 2025.
The lecture aimed to equip researchers with the essential skills required to prepare and publish their research in reputable scientific journals, in addition to raising awareness of the standards and ethics of scientific publishing.
The lecture was delivered by the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics, Lecturer Dr. Yasser Hazem, in the auditorium of the College of Pharmacy, and was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mayser Mohammed Ali Al-Qoutji, along with the associate deans, heads of departments, and a number of faculty members.
The lecture addressed several important scientific topics, including the fundamentals of scientific research writing, mechanisms for selecting appropriate journals, publication requirements, as well as the most common mistakes encountered by researchers and ways to avoid them, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of scientific output at the College.
