Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy

Overview

The Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy was established concurrently with the
College’s founding in 2020. Pharmaceutics is a fundamental branch of pharmaceutical sciences that
encompasses all stages of transforming a biologically active chemical entity into a safe, stable, and
effective medicinal product.

The Department focuses on studying the physical and chemical properties of drugs and active ingredients
to design optimal dosage forms tailored to the patient’s condition. The curriculum is meticulously
structured to ensure students are proficient in the principles of pharmaceutical manufacturing and
competent in formulating diverse pharmaceutical dosage forms. By providing a profound understanding
of the preparation, analysis, and development of pharmaceutical preparations, the Department aims to
achieve the maximum therapeutic effect with the minimum adverse effects. This is accomplished by
training students in the compounding, preparation, and packaging of various drug forms, including
tablets, injections, suspensions, solutions, and others.
