the University of Nineveh Organizes a Scientific Lecture on Evaluation Mechanisms in Scientific Journals

As part of a series of scientific lectures aimed at advancing research and enhancing the capabilities of the college’s academic staff, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Nineveh, organized a specialized scientific lecture entitled “Evaluation in Scientific Journals” on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysar Mohammed Ali Al-Quttaji. The lecture was delivered by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Saad Al-Diwaji, and was attended by a number of faculty members who actively engaged in the session. The lecture provided a detailed discussion on the critical role and great responsibility borne by researchers and academics in the peer-review process of scientific manuscripts submitted to reputable international journals. Dr. Al-Diwaji emphasized that this role is not only essential to ensuring the quality and reliability of published research but also contributes to strengthening the university’s academic standing and the societal impact of its scholars. Furthermore, the lecture highlighted the ethical and professional standards governing the evaluation process, underscoring their direct impact on maintaining the integrity of scientific publishing and addressing contemporary challenges in the field.
