A Scientific Visit by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy to the Cancer Center at the Royal College of Britain

On the sidelines of his participation in the International Conference on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Medical Sciences, held in London, United Kingdom, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutaji, conducted a scientific visit to the Cancer Center at the Royal College of Britain on Monday, October 20, 2025.

During the visit, the Dean was briefed on the various departments of the center, which is regarded as one of the leading specialized research institutions in the United Kingdom and serves as a vital link between British universities and the National Health Service (NHS).

The tour included visits to the advanced research laboratories and the biobank, where the Dean observed the procedures for sample preservation and the latest techniques employed in human cell culture and analysis, as well as methods for DNA analysis in biological samples—particularly in liquid biopsies such as blood.

The visit also addressed potential avenues for academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions, exploring prospects for participation in advanced training and research programs available through British e-learning platforms, in a manner that would enhance the research and applied capabilities of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh.
