“Accreditation: The Gateway to Quality and Institutional Excellence”A Scientific Lecture at the College of Pharmacy

In line with the University of Nineveh’s orientation toward fostering a culture of quality and enhancing academic and institutional performance, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the College of Pharmacy organized a specialized scientific lecture entitled “Accreditation: The Gateway to Quality and Institutional Excellence.” The lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rasha Nadim Ahmed, a faculty member at the College of Medicine – University of Nineveh, and Chair of the College Accreditation Committee, on Tuesday, 30 December 2025.

The lecture was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Maiser Mohammed Ali Al-Qoutji, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, along with the assistant deans, heads of academic departments, and a distinguished group of faculty members and staff.

The lecture aimed to shed light on the foundations of academic accreditation and its theoretical and practical dimensions. It addressed several key themes, most notably:

  • The conceptual framework of academic accreditation and its role in ensuring the quality of higher education.
  • The strategic importance of academic accreditation and its impact on institutional performance and educational outcomes.
  • The requirements for obtaining academic accreditation in accordance with approved national standards.
  • Practical and systematic mechanisms for implementing accreditation standards within colleges.

The speaker also reviewed the experience of the College of Medicine in the field of academic accreditation, highlighting its contribution to sustainable institutional development and the strengthening of a quality-oriented culture.

This activity is part of a series of programs organized by the College of Pharmacy aimed at developing educational and administrative performance and consolidating the principles of accreditation and comprehensive quality assurance, in alignment with the orientations of the Ministry of Higher Education and the requirements of national accreditation.
