An Active Participation of the College of Pharmacy in Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW 2026) Reflects Its Strategic Orientation Toward Fostering Innovation.

Under the patronage and in the presence of Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Nineveh, and within the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026 (GEW) organized by the Department of Science and Technology Parks at the University Presidency, the College of Pharmacy participated in the launch of the week’s entrepreneurial events, which commenced on Sunday, February 8, 2026, amid a distinguished academic and official attendance.

The College’s participation was embodied through the presentation of a portfolio of scientific and innovative projects delivered by a number of its staff members and students. These projects reflected an advanced level of creativity and excellence, highlighting the ability of young talents to transform research ideas into promising entrepreneurial initiatives that contribute to community service and support the health and technology sectors.

This participation comes as part of the College of Pharmacy’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, support start-up projects, and direct scientific outputs toward practical applications with sustainable impact, in alignment with the University’s vision of fostering an environment conducive to creativity and excellence.

At the conclusion of the events, participating contributors and supporters were honored in recognition of their efforts in ensuring the success of this pioneering scientific event. His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Osama Ismail Al-Mashhadani, honored the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Maysar Al-Qoutji, by awarding him the Shield of Excellence, in appreciation of the College’s active role in supporting the innovation ecosystem and advancing the entrepreneurial journey within the University.
