The Bachelor of Pharmacy Program is designed to prepare scientifically and professionally competent pharmacists equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care and promote public health in accordance with national academic standards and program accreditation requirements. The program extends over five academic years, integrating theoretical instruction with practical laboratory training, clinical education, and experiential learning in healthcare and pharmaceutical settings.
The curriculum provides a comprehensive foundation in the pharmaceutical, biomedical, and basic sciences, encompassing pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology and toxicology, clinical pharmacy, pharmacognosy and medicinal plants, microbiology, biochemistry, and physiology. In addition, the program includes courses in research methodology, professional ethics, communication skills, and pharmaceutical management. Contemporary teaching and assessment strategies are employed to foster student-centered learning, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and lifelong learning.
Upon successful completion of all graduation requirements—including coursework, laboratory training, and clinical and experiential placements—students are awarded the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Graduates are qualified to pursue careers in hospitals, community pharmacies, pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, clinical and research laboratories, regulatory authorities, and research institutions. The program also provides a strong foundation for postgraduate studies and supports graduates in fulfilling the professional licensing requirements for pharmacy practice.
