The College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah organized an awareness symposium on youth issues and their role in decision-making.

Under the patronage of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Permanent National Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance, and in cooperation with the Government Communication Team,
the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah organized on Thursday, October 9, 2025, a distinguished awareness symposium entitled “Youth Issues and Their Role in Decision-Making.”

The event targeted college students with the aim of enhancing their awareness of their constructive role in society and empowering them to actively participate in shaping the future.

The symposium was presented by Ms. Dhafar Hisham, lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, and Ms. Sally Saif Al-Din, an internationally certified trainer from the Directorate of Education in Ninevah. The sessions addressed key challenges facing young people today, explored ways to strengthen their self-confidence, and emphasized the importance of involving them in decision-making processes to foster sustainable development and build a conscious, responsible generation.

The symposium was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Diwaji, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, along with a group of faculty members and students who actively participated in the engaging discussions and insightful interventions that enriched the event.

At the conclusion of the symposium, Dr. Al-Diwaji presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers in recognition of their outstanding efforts and valuable contributions to the success of the event and the achievement of its awareness goals.

This symposium comes as part of a series of continuous activities organized by the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah, reaffirming its mission to support youth potential and foster an enlightened university generation capable of contributing positively to the service of society and the nation.
