The College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh, in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Legal Affairs Department at the University Presidency and the Federal Integrity Commission / Investigations Department, organized a training course entitled “Combating Financial and Administrative Corruption” on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
The course was attended by the University Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Ramadan Mohammed, the Dean of the College of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Manar Kashmoula, along with a distinguished group of university faculty and staff members.
The training sessions were delivered by two lecturers from the Nineveh Investigations Directorate / Federal Integrity Commission: Senior Chief Investigator Mr. Firas Ali Mohammed Ali and Senior Legal Advisor Mr. Mohsen Hamoud Abawi.
The lectures provided an overview of financial and administrative corruption, presented the roles and operational mechanisms of the Nineveh Investigations Directorate within the Federal Integrity Commission, and discussed the essential measures required to uphold integrity and transparency in state institutions, while avoiding suspicion and preventing entanglement in corrupt practices.
The President of the University made a valuable intervention during the course, offering several suggestions to enhance the Commission’s work and alleviate pressure on its personnel.
At the conclusion of the training, the University President praised the significant role of the Integrity Commission in addressing corruption and promoting transparency. He also presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers, wishing them continued success in serving the public interest.
