The College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh organized a scientific lecture on the fundamentals of artificial intelligence.

As part of the College of Pharmacy’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the knowledge of its staff and keeping them informed of the latest scientific developments, the Continuing Education Unit at our college organized an in-person lecture on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, entitled “Principles That Shape Intelligence.”

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mohammad Nour Al-Din, a faculty member at the College, and was attended by members of the college community, including the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hassan Al-Diwaji, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Omar Thanon.

The session addressed the fundamental concepts of artificial neural networks and their underlying mechanisms, explaining how these networks are structured to emulate the functions of the human brain. It also explored the methodologies used to train these networks through diverse datasets.

Dr. Al-Din further highlighted the significant applications of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical and medical fields, emphasizing its role in advancing scientific research, accelerating drug discovery processes, and enhancing healthcare services.
