Guided by its humanitarian mission and social responsibility, the Deanship of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh organized a series of field visits to a nursing home in Nineveh Governorate, the most recent of which took place on Tuesday, 6 January 2026. This initiative was implemented as part of an effort to promote the values of social solidarity and to foster a spirit of giving within the community.
The initiative witnessed active participation from several faculty members of the College, along with the Beta-Blocker volunteer team, during which comprehensive food baskets containing essential supplies were distributed to help meet the daily needs of the elderly and alleviate their living burdens. These activities reflect the humanitarian dimension of the College, which extends beyond its academic role to encompass community service and the promotion of values of compassion and solidarity.
These visits fall within the College of Pharmacy’s commitment to nurturing a spirit of initiative among students and encouraging their engagement in voluntary work as a fundamental pillar in building a cooperative and sustainable society. The residents of the nursing home expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this generous gesture, which left a positive humanitarian impact and embodied the true meanings of support and care in their finest form.
