As part of the activities of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, and in implementation of the annual action plan, the College of Pharmacy – University of Ninevah concluded its specialized training course entitled “Over the Counter Drugs.” The course was held on September 29–30, 2025, in Hall (1A).
The lectures were delivered by Dr. Abeer Mansour and Asst. Lecturer Zahraa Hazem, who presented scientific and practical topics addressing the optimal use of over-the-counter medications, proper patient interaction, and the accurate scientific approach to recommending treatments. The course also highlighted the risks of overdose and potential drug interactions.
The course witnessed active participation from students and alumni of the College, and featured fruitful discussions and idea exchanges, which contributed to enhancing pharmaceutical knowledge and developing students’ practical skills. This initiative aligns with the College’s mission to prepare competent pharmacy professionals capable of meeting labor market demands and serving the community effectively.
