In line with the vision of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh to strengthen scientific collaboration and promote the exchange of academic expertise among Iraqi universities, Assistant Professor Dr. Maisar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutji, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, chaired the master’s thesis defense committee of graduate student Saja Lateef Abdullah from the Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy – Hawler Medical University. The thesis is entitled:
DUAL-STRATEGY ENHANCEMENT OF SOLUBILITY AND BIOAVAILABILITY:
COMPLEXATION-BASED SOLID DISPERSION FOR POORLY WATER-SOLUBLE DRUG
The defense took place on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, in the presence of distinguished faculty members.
The thesis addressed an integrated dual strategy to improve the solubility and bioavailability of a poorly water-soluble drug by combining solid dispersion techniques with complex formation. This approach aims to enhance dissolution efficiency and improve drug absorption, ultimately achieving higher therapeutic performance compared to the pure drug form.
The examination committee consisted of:
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Maisar Mohammed Al-Qutji – Chair
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Nozad Rasheed Hussein – Member
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Moaad Sheet Mohammed – Member
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Honar Kamal Omar – Member and Supervisor
We extend our best wishes to our academic staff for continued excellence and success.
