The Dean of the College of Pharmacy participates in the First Iraqi Conference on Clinical Pharmacy, held at the College of Pharmacy – Al-Noor University.

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajjar, President of Al-Noor University, and chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Qutaiba Al-Layla, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, the First Iraqi Conference on Clinical Pharmacy (1st ICCP) was launched at Al-Noor University on October 4–5, 2025. The event brought together a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and specialists from various Iraqi universities and healthcare institutions.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Haider Fuad Al-Sayegh, President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, along with a number of deans of Colleges of Pharmacy from Iraqi universities, including the Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Ninevah, as well as a gathering of researchers and professionals in the field of clinical pharmacy.

The first day of the conference featured specialized scientific sessions that addressed the latest developments in pharmaceutical education and modern clinical practices, in addition to the presentation of high-quality research papers highlighting the role of the clinical pharmacist in improving the quality of healthcare and advancing the pharmaceutical system in Iraq.

During the conference, a number of pioneers in clinical pharmacy in Iraq were honored in recognition of their notable contributions to establishing and developing this vital discipline.

The participation of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy – University of Ninevah in this conference reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to promoting scientific research and expanding academic collaboration between educational and healthcare institutions, thereby contributing to the advancement of pharmacy and pharmaceutical care in Iraq.
