The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, University of Nineveh, organized an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for fifth-year students on Sunday morning, 22 February 2026. The examination was supervised by the Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Saif Khalid, with the participation of a distinguished group of faculty members.
The OSCE comprised several assessment stations designed in accordance with rigorous academic standards. These stations focused on evaluating students’ clinical communication skills, case analysis, and evidence-based therapeutic decision-making, thereby enhancing their readiness to confidently and competently engage in professional practice.
The OSCE is recognized as one of the most objective and reliable assessment tools for measuring clinical performance. It plays a pivotal role in preparing scientifically and professionally qualified graduates who are capable of practicing pharmacy with a high level of responsibility in alignment with the evolving demands of modern healthcare systems.
