“The Iraqi Academics Syndicate honors a distinguished group of faculty members from the College of Pharmacy in recognition of their excellence in scientific research and academic achievement.”

In celebration of Iraqi Academician Day, the Iraqi Academics Syndicate honored a distinguished group of faculty members from the College of Pharmacy during a ceremony hosted by Al-Noor University on Saturday, May 10, 2025. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Professor Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, and the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Professor Dr. Ali Maseer Yassin, along with several university presidents and members of academic and research bodies.

The ceremony recognized outstanding academics from various Iraqi universities in appreciation of their significant contributions to the advancement of scientific and academic endeavors. The College of Pharmacy had a notable presence at the event.

Associate Professor Dr. Mayser Al-Qutaji, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, was awarded the Syndicate Shield in recognition of his efforts to promote educational and research progress and his active contributions to the development of the academic environment within the college.

Additional honors were given to Dr. Yasser Hazem, the college’s representative at the Syndicate, and to Lecturer Ms. Mais Muzahim for receiving the highest annual performance evaluation last year. Lecturer Mr. Ayman Yassin was also recognized for publishing the highest number of scientific papers over the past year. Both were awarded the Syndicate’s Medal of Academic Excellence and Innovation.

It is worth noting that this ceremony is part of a series of events launched by the Syndicate to highlight the achievements of Iraqi academics and to encourage constructive scientific competition.
