This year, Nineveh University made significant progress in the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2025, achieving the 12th position among 25 Iraqi universities included in this classification, thus competing with other prestigious Iraqi institutions.

According to the global ranking, 246 institutions from the Arab region were assessed based on various indicators, including academic reputation (30%), employer reputation (20%), faculty-to-student ratio (15%), international research network (10%), web impact (5%), percentage of faculty with PhDs (5%), citations per research (5%), number of research outputs per faculty member (5%), percentage of international faculty (2.5%), and percentage of international students (2.5%).

The results showed a notable increase in the number of competing Iraqi universities, rising to 25 compared to 18 in the previous year. In this year’s ranking, the University of Baghdad secured the 38th position, followed by the Mustansiriyah University, Basra University, Al-Nahrain University, Al-Kufa University, Babil University, the University of Technology, Anbar University, Karbala University, Mosul University, Middle Euphrates Technical University, Nineveh University, Tikrit University, Diyala University, Al-Qadisiyah University, Islamic University, Wasit University, Iraqi University, Al-Muthanna University, Middle Technical University, Northern Technical University, Southern Technical University, Fallujah University, Kirkuk University, and Dhi Qar University.

In this regard, Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, President of the University, congratulated the university council and staff on this achievement, praising the efforts of all university personnel in striving for higher ranks and wishing for further prosperity and advancement for the university.
