College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh Organizes Comprehensive Awareness Seminar: “She is Life” – A Focus on Women’s Health and Hormonal Stages

As part of its academic and social commitment, and in alignment with the University of Nineveh’s mission to promote health awareness, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized an educational seminar titled “She is Life” on Sunday, June 1, 2025. The event was held in the auditorium of Prof. Dr. Khalil Al-Sayyid Mar’i Hall. The seminar witnessed distinguished attendance, including the Dean of the College, Assist. Prof. Dr. Maisar Mohammed Al-Qutaji, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Omar Thanoon, along with faculty and staff from the University of Nineveh. Serving as an enriching intellectual journey into the field of women’s health, the seminar addressed critical psychological and physical health aspects across the different stages of a woman’s life. The discussion emphasized the pivotal role of hormones and their physiological effects, the importance of proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits, and highlighted key dietary supplements and medications that support hormonal balance and overall well-being. The seminar featured a select group of academics and specialists, including:

2. Dr. Alaa Maisar – College of Medicine, University of Nineveh

3. Dr. Abeer Mansour – College of Pharmacy, University of Nineveh

4. Assist. Lecturer Israa Abbas – College of Pharmacy, University of Nineveh

The seminar concluded with a key recommendation: “Women’s health deserves continuous and unwavering attention; it is the foundation of society and the heartbeat of life.”

At the close of the event, the Dean honored the speakers with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their valuable contributions and efforts toward the seminar’s success.
