A Ministerial Committee Visits the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh to Assess Laboratory Readiness and the Implementation of Safety Standards

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Deanery of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh welcomed a specialized ministerial committee from the Department of Research and Development, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Jaafar Mohammed Ramadan, the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs. The purpose of the visit was to inspect the college’s laboratories and chemical storage facilities and to verify the implementation of the highest safety standards.

The committee was received by the Dean of the College, Dr. Maisar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutaji, along with the college’s assistant deans. During the visit, the committee conducted a comprehensive field inspection of all laboratories, reviewed their operational status, examined the chemical storage facilities, and assessed inventory and storage evaluation forms.

The visit particularly focused on ensuring compliance with safety and security requirements, including chemical, biological, and radiological safety, as well as accurate documentation of hazardous and dual-use chemicals.

At the conclusion of the visit, the committee praised the college’s administration for its evident commitment and high level of professionalism in managing the laboratories, which reflects the college’s dedication to providing a safe and distinguished educational and research environment for its students and scholars.
