The College of Pharmacy participates in providing medical and logistical services to the pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) Arbaeen in the Nineveh Plain.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, President of the University of Nineveh, and the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Maysar Al-Qutaji, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, the College participated in the University’s service convoy, which was dedicated to serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) Arbaeen, held near the shrine of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (peace be upon him), on August 14–15, 2025.
The College staff provided medical and therapeutic services, including clinical examinations, the dispensing of free medications, and health counseling. Additionally, logistical support included distributing water and food and providing rest areas.
Dr. Al-Qutaji emphasized that this participation reflects the College’s mission of community service and the promotion of values of generosity and solidarity, underscoring its commitment to active engagement in initiatives that promote volunteerism and humanitarian service.
