Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maisar Al-Qutji, and the attendance of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Omar Thanoon, and as part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit, the College organized an awareness lecture entitled
“The Impact of Digital Drugs on Health and Society and Methods of Prevention,” delivered by Lecturer Khalid Waleed, on Monday, October 6, 2025.
The lecture highlighted the growing risks associated with digital drugs, explaining their negative effects on both physical and psychological health, as well as their dangerous repercussions on the social fabric. It also addressed preventive measures, emphasizing the importance of early awareness and the promotion of health education within the community to foster a safe, addiction-free environment.
This event comes as part of a series of scientific and awareness activities organized by the College of Pharmacy, aimed at enhancing awareness among academic and administrative staff, and reinforcing the role of educational institutions in confronting negative phenomena that threaten the safety and stability of society.
