Signing of a Scientific Cooperation Agreement between the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh and the Nineveh Health Directorate

In accordance with the directives of the President of the University of Nineveh, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Mashhadani, and within the framework of strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and the healthcare sector, and in line with efforts to enhance the quality of health and educational services in the governorate,
a scientific cooperation agreement was signed on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, between the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh and the Nineveh Health Directorate.

The College of Pharmacy delegation was headed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysar Mohammed Ali Al-Qutaji, Dean of the College, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Saad Al-Diwaji, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Lect. Dr. Omar Thanon, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and Dr. Abeer Mansour. The delegation was received by Dr. Dilshad Ali Abdullah Al-Shankali, Director General of the Nineveh Health Directorate.

Dr. Al-Qutaji emphasized that this agreement reinforces the principle of integration between academic education and practical application, contributing to the development of students’ professional skills and preparing them to enter the healthcare labor market with high competence.

For his part, Dr. Dilshad Al-Shankali affirmed that this collaboration will serve as an important step toward advancing pharmaceutical competencies and supporting the health sector in Nineveh through the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint training and research programs.

On the sidelines of the visit, the College delegation extended their congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Al-Shankali on the occasion of his formal appointment as Director General of the Nineveh Health Directorate. The delegation presented him with a bouquet of flowers as a gesture of appreciation and respect, wishing him continued success in serving the people of the governorate.
