In alignment with the directives of the Presidency of the University of Ninevah aimed at promoting health and psychological awareness among students and staff, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized a scientific symposium entitled “Mental Health and Its Relationship to Physical Health.” The event was held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Dr. Khalil Al-Sayyid Mar’i Hall at the College of Information Technology.
The symposium aimed to highlight the close interconnection between mental health and physical well-being. The speakers emphasized that achieving psychological balance directly contributes to the prevention of numerous physical diseases and enhances overall quality of life.
The lectures were delivered by:
- Dr. Ghufran Ali Al-Obaidi – Ninevah Health Directorate
- Dr. Abeer Mansour Abdulrasool – College of Pharmacy
- Asst. Lecturer Israa Abbas Ali – College of Pharmacy
At the conclusion of the event, Asst. Dean for Administrative Affairs Dr. Omar Thannon presented certificates of appreciation to the speakers in recognition of their valuable efforts and their significant contributions to enriching the symposium with insightful scientific and practical knowledge.
