As part of its scientific and awareness-raising programs aimed at promoting health and safety concepts, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Pharmacy organized a scientific workshop entitled “Methods of Infection Control and the Proper Use of Disinfectants” on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, with the participation of faculty members and students of the College.
The workshop addressed several scientific themes, including the concept of hospital-acquired infections and their modes of transmission. It also reviewed the most important preventive measures adopted within healthcare institutions, in addition to providing a practical explanation of the proper use of disinfectants and antiseptics and their effective role in limiting the spread of infections and enhancing safety standards within the hospital environment.
The workshop was delivered by the representative of the National Health Factory, Engineer Raed Akram Sheet, whose lecture contributed to raising health awareness among participants and strengthening concepts related to infection prevention and control in hospitals.
