The Dean of the College of Pharmacy delivers a scientific lecture at Al-Salam Teaching Hospital.

Within the framework of the joint scientific cooperation agreement between the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nineveh and the Nineveh Health Directorate, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Maysar Mohammed Al-Qoutji, delivered a scientific lecture to trainee pharmacists at Al-Salam Teaching Hospital, in the presence of the Head of the Pharmacy Division at the hospital, Pharmacist Ahmed Tariq.

The lecture was conducted as part of the specialized Clinical Pharmacy Program and was entitled “Stability of Pharmaceutical Preparations.” It addressed several key scientific aspects related to drug safety and quality, including the concept of drug expiration dates and the various factors affecting the stability of pharmaceutical products, such as temperature, humidity, light, and storage conditions.

Furthermore, the lecture discussed the possibility of utilizing certain medications nearing their expiration date in accordance with established scientific guidelines, in addition to outlining optimal storage practices to ensure the preservation of therapeutic efficacy and pharmaceutical quality.

The lecture witnessed active engagement from the trainee pharmacists and concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which the Dean addressed their questions and inquiries, thereby contributing to the enhancement of their professional knowledge and the development of their clinical pharmacy skills.
